2007        Anna Jansone, Analysis of Disentanglement Puzzles

37 disentanglement puzzles from the collection of Ernests Fogels, a Latvian scientist, have been investigated in this work. These puzzles have been solved and supplied with instructions in the form of photos. New puzzles have also been developed on the basis of the acquired experience and knowledge.

The work is dedicated to the problem of covering rectangles with V-tromino. The problem posed in Internet [1] about minimal number of contact-points for covering 8 x 8  square with V-tromino of three colours has been solved.
